The house takes shape and more scenes of Santa Fe . . .

This is the front of our house as seen from the house going up next door. This neighborhood is designed after the old part of Santa Fe where houses are close together and have private court yards.

The front portal with stairs down from the garage on the left.

This is a view of the north end of the house which is the office wing. Paul's office is on the left and Layne's is on the right.

This is the eastern view from inside Paul's office. These three windows will be over Paul's desk.

This is about the one good snowfall we had all winter. You see the garage on the left and the entrance in the distance.

This is looking up from the front of the house to the garage and what will be the entry to the property. You can see the topography of this lot is quite steep. There are five levels to the house in all.

This is the sunset bathed western wall of the house and what will be the outdoor living area, the portals. The lower end closest is the living room and kitchen and the upper deck is off the master bedroom.

This is the deck off of Layne's office above the guest house.

This is the south end taken from what will be the master bedroom private yard and garden.

This is the portal off of the master bedroom looking towards Layne's office portal.

A view of the Sangre de Christo Mountains to the east. The setting sun turns the snow glistening gold, bathing the rest of the range in the characteristic red of their namesake. This range was named by the conquistadors over 400 years ago and means the blood of Christ.

The mountains are ablaze in color when the Aspens turn in the fall. Aspens groves share a common root system, making them the earth's largest living organism.
